Lin Shiao Tung embarked on a journey to rediscover the emotional connection between jade and people, seeking to utilise this precious gemstone to capture the restrained and sophisticated character of modern Chinese people. The Eric Jade Bear series, which boasts a range of variations, was inspired by the memories he shared with his daughter during her childhood. These memories came flooding back to him one night after she had gone abroad to study. Similarly, the Messenger of Happiness series was created with inspiration from his son, who taught him the true meaning of happiness. For Lin Shiao Tung, every piece of jewellery is created to capture a meaningful and memorable moment.
